In this brief I was challenged to design a flat pack lamp in the style of IKEA, this was a purely physical modelling process using 'inexpensive' materials to fit the smaller end of the budget.

I was required to think about how it would flat pack, the packaging and how the product would be manufactured in a factory environment.

I took inspiration from the organic shielding effect that a flower bud has to diffuse the light and make an interesting piece.
