In this project I was challenged with redesigning the way a steam iron functioned this involved reverse engineering, sketch development, ergonomic testing, weighted physical modelling and 2D graphical renders.

This Iron was designed for the older generation with a large water tank opening, easy to read dials, light weight design and colour coded parts.

The iron features a pivoting handle mechanism that allows easy access to the water tank.
