Pluto
Pluto was designed whilst on placement at Belmuse Mandolins who specialise in electric mandolins, this design is completely original and uses a tapered neck through construction to aid with vibration from neck to body. This design features a zebrano top mated to a mahogany body which is semi hollow to allow some acoustic feedback to the player.
All of the bridge hardware was handmade from aluminium and a custom pickup was designed and wound by myself, the design features a 3d aluminium logo on the upper bout of the mandolin and an offset 12th fret inlay to add to the contemporary aesthetic of the design.
This model is now part of the Belmuse catalogue and plans are underway for a more budget version.
